Este organismo se encarga de recaudar fondos a nivel municipal para financiar los servicios y programas locales, como infraestructura, educaci\u00f3n, salud y seguridad, entre otros. El CRIM es responsable de gestionar y administrar la recaudaci\u00f3n de impuestos municipales, tales como el impuesto sobre la propiedad (contribuci\u00f3n sobre la propiedad mueble e inmueble), la patente municipal (licencia de negocios), el impuesto sobre ventas y uso, y otros tributos que pueden variar de un municipio a otro en Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfCOMO APLICA LA EXONERACI\u00d3N DEL CRIM EN UNA PROPIEDAD?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La exoneraci\u00f3n del CRIM (Centro de Recaudaci\u00f3n de Ingresos Municipales) en Puerto Rico se refiere a la exenci\u00f3n o reducci\u00f3n de ciertos impuestos sobre la propiedad, espec\u00edficamente en lo que respecta al impuesto sobre la propiedad inmueble. La exoneraci\u00f3n del CRIM puede aplicarse en diferentes situaciones, y las condiciones y requisitos pueden variar seg\u00fan el municipio en el que se ubique la propiedad. Algunas de las situaciones comunes en las que se puede solicitar la exoneraci\u00f3n incluyen:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Exoneraci\u00f3n por edad o incapacidad:<\/strong> Personas mayores o con discapacidad pueden calificar para exenciones o reducciones en el impuesto sobre la propiedad. Los requisitos y la cantidad de exoneraci\u00f3n pueden variar seg\u00fan la legislaci\u00f3n municipal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exoneraci\u00f3n para veteranos:<\/strong> Los veteranos de guerra pueden ser elegibles para ciertas exenciones de impuestos sobre la propiedad. Las exoneraciones pueden variar en funci\u00f3n del tipo y grado de discapacidad, as\u00ed como del tiempo de servicio militar.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exoneraci\u00f3n para ingresos bajos:<\/strong> Personas con ingresos bajos pueden calificar para exenciones parciales o totales en el impuesto sobre la propiedad. Los criterios de elegibilidad se basan en los ingresos y pueden variar seg\u00fan el municipio.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exoneraci\u00f3n para organizaciones sin fines de lucro:<\/strong> Propiedades propiedad de organizaciones sin fines de lucro pueden estar exentas de impuestos sobre la propiedad, siempre que cumplan con los requisitos establecidos por la ley.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Si vives la propiedad como residencia principal, vas a estar exonerado hasta $15,000 de los valores del CRIM Para solicitar una exoneraci\u00f3n del CRIM, es necesario presentar una solicitud ante la oficina correspondiente del municipio en el que se encuentra la propiedad.<\/p>\n<p>Es importante proporcionar toda la documentaci\u00f3n necesaria que respalde la solicitud y cumplir con los requisitos espec\u00edficos para cada tipo de exoneraci\u00f3n.
